Describe the purpose and aim(s) of the organisation/voluntary group

Our aim is to make adventure therapy accessible to everyone in need or at risk across Ireland.
Active Connections CLG is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting young people with behavioural challenges. We collaborate with both statutory and non-statutory agencies, delivering transformative programmes to young people and their families in Ireland.
Our programmes focus on achieving these key goals:
Personal Development – Helping participants build self-awareness and strengthen their self-concept.
Interpersonal Effectiveness – Encouraging a sense of community and the ability to engage positively with others.
Environmental Awareness – Promoting understanding of the fragile nature of wild spaces and fostering responsibility for their care and preservation.
Learning – Instilling a spirit of curiosity, experimentation, and active participation.
We believe in the power of adventure to transform lives, empower individuals, and build a brighter future for young people.
