Describe the purpose and aim(s) of the organisation/voluntary group
BASE was started in 1987 with the idea of bringing together the adults of our area in a congenial friendly and supportive atmosphere. With this is in mind we started adult education classes. We opened B.A.S.E. Resource Centre in January 1998. We are running up to 20 classes per term, ranging from Computer to Psychology and Art to Flower Arranging. In 1995 a counselling service was established our counsellors, see clients on a voluntary basis. Our building is also used by other parish groups, i.e. Football Clubs and Residents Associations.
