Based in a rural disadvantaged area and provides a broad and diverse range of community-based family support services for the people of Callan and surrounding areas. Current services include, Community Childcare and Afterschool service, Food Bank, low cost Counselling and Play Therapy service, Family Support, Baby & Toddler Group, Community Garden, Fáilte Isteach (conversational English classes), Adult & Youth Education, Secretarial services, information provision and recreational activities. Droichead Family Resource Centre’s objectives are to provide a broad range of community based family support services for individuals & their families which are pro-active and enhance participation in the wider community. We are a universal service so our doors are open to anyone in the community of Callan and the surrounding hinterlands. Our focus is on families and socially isolated members of our community. Droichead FRC is governed by a voluntary board of management.
